Default new "valet switch"?

I've got a short in my "full engine power" switch.
Where can I get a new one and what is it called?
thanks
Colt

I had a problem with mine also... I could not find a new one anywhere.
so I took it apart and cleaned, bent the leads a little and it works fine.
Its a very simple switch.

They are discontinued from GM.

Is it difficult to get out? What do I have to remove to get to it? It looks like I'll have to take off the shifter console first?
thanks

You have to remove the shifter console.

Remove shift knob.
Remove (2) 7mm crews in the center console area that hold the shifter plate down.
Remove ashtray and there is a screw underneath it.
Put shifter in 4th gear and then pull up on console going back. Make sure to remove the adapter for the cig plug.

Remove the center AC vent, (2) T-15 screws.
Remove (2) 7mm screws at base of DIC panel.
Remove (1) 7mm screw at top of DIC panel (upper right hand)
Gently pull DIC panel away, it has a metal reataining tab on the left hand side.

Remove the electrical plug for the power key. It's a three prong plug and it just slides out.

As far as a key, I have one sitting in the box, waiting for mine to die. I bought mine off of ebay 2 years ago, and have never seen one since.
