Oh I would love to have such a track worthy car as the ZR1 listed above; however, I don't think I'm worthy of such a machine.

Hopefully Santa will bring me some goodies...and/or money to help my sponsorship for the Feb. VIR event, haha.

To the top.

Sorry, I'm not one to chime in but 41 for this car ?

You could have Ron Kreighs '93 for 30K?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4s-for-sale-wanted/800882-1993-zr1-lpe-475-hp-package.html

What am I missing here that is worth 11k more?

First 24k takes my '91 with all the same mods except for the bottom end on this car for the last year and no takers.

Tony even got it right this time.

Rick

Let's just let Steve try to sell his car. For the record - both yours and Ron's are stock displacement at 350 - Steve's is bored out to 368 cids. That would be the reason for more $$$ over the 350.

I wouldn't sleep very well personally.

Are you dealing with a good guy that doesn't want to take you for every penny your worth just because your stupid? Sorry, it just got under my skin enough for me to say something.

Rick
I think you need to settle down. How can you take the price someone else is deciding to sell THEIR car at as a personal insult to you? If anything it may even help your car to sell because it's not in the same price range...if you're going to waste your energy getting worked up over something, at least make it worthwhile.

Rick,

You need to chill out and let the guy sell his car. If your car doesn't have a 368, it's not even close to the same car. Besides the bigger cubes, it's built by SGC...ever looked at how long the wait is there?

From what I've heard, you're looking at 15-20k for a 368 build...if you've spent that much on your engine work, you've probably been robbed. You said yourself, yours doesn't have the bottom end work...and that's expensive.

While it's not the deal of the century, I believe he's asking a fair price for someone that wants the car. If not, no one will buy it...so no harm done. What's your problem here?

Sorry, 18 cubes for 17 thousand dollars? I think my car is very close to the same car.

No, sorry, I KNOW my car is very close to the same car. In fact the mods are almost identical save the bore!!!! I got a roll bar with harnesses too.

I should have kept my mouth shut. Better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt...on both of our parts.

Boy Ron, your car is looking really, really sweet now.

Those 18 cubes give more torque over the entire power curve. It is what it is - 368s are hard to come by.

Steve - sorry about all the banter - but hey, at least it keeps your thread at the top!

to anyone who has seen this car it is well worth the asking price.

remember this is a super low mile car with a fresh 368 that runs a very stout number as well. the 368s done by SGC are fantastic and this car is worth every penny IMHO.

good luck steve

This is the second ZR1 for sale thread that I have read, where "threestar40" tries highjack and sell his car for a cheaper price.

Why not start your own ZR1 for sale thread?

I've done that, I just don't care to bother this part of the forum with my "car for sale" thread all the time. I guess I have more respect for the forum than that and I'm wishwashy on selling it. I love it so much, I don't want to get rid of it most of the time and I'm tired of taking baths on my cars. I've been through this crap for the last 15 years of paying premium and getting my a$5 kicked when I sell. 5.0 mustang, Grand National, impala SS, now this. For once I'm not really hurting for the money and don't "need" to sell. I built a prostreet truck for 55K that is worth 5k and that is enough for me, It would be more fun for me to throw another 20 grand at my truck than having this ZR1, I'm sort of scared of it because it is so complicated. In the meantime I will try to enjoy it more, but it's hard.

What's wrong with mentioning my car for sale in any thread in a discussion forum? Is that rude?

Have you ever been to car show where "for sale" signs aren't aloud?

For some, it might even be considered distasteful to put any car up for sale in this part of the forum..."Go to C4's for sale I don't want to be exposed to it unless I'm looking to buy" might be the attitude.

While I can understand your frustration Rick, it is ill placed. ZR-1's are not easy cars to sell right now, a great deal of patience and persistence is required. Your car is certainly a good deal but it belongs in it's own thread. How would you like it if someone hijacked your for sale thread? As far as for sale ads in the ZR-1 section I think we get away with it since were such a small group. Personally I don't have a problem with a few ZR-1 ads, if I don't want to read a for sale ad I just skip the post. Lastly I think you owe both Steve and Ron an apology for mucking up their posts, they haven't shown you any disrespect and deserve to be treated in kind.

You need to learn to keep from hijacking threads. Steve is selling one of the best performing 368's. Not only are you hijacking this thread, you've attempted in Ron's ad in the C4's for sale!!!!!
