Default My 383 is alive!

I don't have a ZR1 but I have always been fascinated with them, and enjoy hanging out on this board, so thought I would put a link to my 383 thread in C4 Tech:

Heck.. He has more power than I do...

I used to have 383cid stroker on Camaro 5 years ago.. (Before ZR1).. It had 430 dynoed horsepower.

Anyway Z was totally different car..

well... it's actually a 385 now, but I like the sound of 383 better

I'm real pleased with the hp/torque numbers... especially with the mild duration cam. I wanted to drive this on the street as well as track it, and am hoping it handles both with no problems.

With it being down for so long I would have been happy if it just made 380 hp, as long as there weren't any issues with it... so, suffice it to say, I am ecstatic with those numbers.

Those 383 strokers rock. FWIW there is a company called Eloctromotive that makes a kit to eliminate the opti spark system.

Nice set-up, yet all I wish is your color-Brite Aqua, my #1 choice. I simply got tired waiting for one & took this Dark red Metallic. Trade??

My favorite colors are blue and dark red. Never liked yellow, bright red and silver, but I had just about every other color on previous cars so I went with bright red for a change of pace.
We need the same thing the woman in the movie "Total Recall" had where she changed her nail polish color with a touch of a tool.
