Default Put the Plenum back on today: HELP

Well I recieved the starter yesterday and was able to reassemble everything. I put new coil packs on as well as plugs and wires.

When I was putting everthing back together, I cam across a hard plastic hose that came from the, I believe the Evaporator canister purge
solenoid (It's right in front of the coil packs). I could not find a home for this hose. I searched for about an hour and decided to just leave it off, hoping it was supposed to be that way because I could'nt recall taking it off.

well I got everthing else back in place and the car started up but I noticed a hissing sound coming from the engine area? I let the car run for several minutes and everthing seemed to be working fine, except I noticed the idle was about 1000rpm. Proir to the plenum removal it was about 650 to 700rpm.

I drove the car about 20 minutes, and she ran great, plenty of power. I got me spped up to about 92 mph for a short bit. When I got back home, she still was idling high, 1000rpm to 1050rpm.

So I'm assuming the mystery hose is my probelm. What do you guys think?

It does need to be hooked up. Take it apart and get a picture of the hose. I believe it connects into a check valve that typically will fall into the V of the block. Easy to miss. But nothing should be disconnected with the vacuum system.

I should have known better, but I was hoping (Praying) everything was going to work. Do think this is the cause of my high idle?

It's fixed, the hose I missed went to the bottom of the plenum, towards the front. Took her out for a spin, everything works great and my idle is back to 650rpm. I just hope the new starter cured my no start problem. Thanks for the help.
