Clutch is making some noise
My clutch is making some noise when it is pressed. It does not do it all the time, but it started happening more after a long trip. I am guessing that it is the throw out bearing. Can you listen to it and let me know your ideas.
If it is the throw out bearing, would you drive it until it makes noise all of the time? I recorded this WAV file on my PC, so it is not great quality. I have the car at idle, and I am pressing the pedal several times.
Thanks

If you try and use GM brake fluid the clutch will make noiese. I found this out first hand.
I recently swapt clutch, throwout bearing & pilot bushing after only 400 miles clutch is now squeling when I let go of clutch in a gear, upon car movement. I thought sound came from suspension. Mecanic did use brake fluid...
Sound seems to disappear when engine gets warm.

Thanks for all the input. I looked at the links, and I noticed this section:
"Also important in the clutch area is the replacement of the throwout bearing and pilot bushing. Do not panic if the pilot bushing is loose within the crankshaft. This is common and a source for many loud clutch related noises. If ignored, the loose bushing may enlarge the crankshaft hole so excessively, the newer bushing will not seat. This will be cause for some creative machine work."
I guess I will stop driving it until I get the pilot bearing replaced. I do not want trouble with the crankshaft.

A loud squeling is what happened to mine. Drain that out, I used a turkey baster and fill it back up with GM clutch fluid.
