the beam plates work very well, help stiffen the drivetrain, plant the power better, reduce the "side step" when spinning, and really make mounting the beam much easier.
the first time you remove the beam you will save the "price of admission" in the time you save alone. your knuckes or mechanic will thank you!!
I've used these on 3 ZR1s, going on ZR1 #4 this winter. don't leave home without them!!! works on all c4s 84-96
I drive allot of narrow roads here in Montana & when shifting from 1-2 & 2-3 the car would jump sideways, all I could envision was losing it. I installed the plates & the car runs dead straight now between shifts. :D
camber braces, rods, better bushings, shock controllers, coil overs, jeez where does it all end. best mod of all is some killer tires so you put more power to the ground. the new goodyear supercar tires look promising, pricey, but worth it!! sure wish they made some big mutha's in 18/335s
or better still some 345s. anyone use any of the big toyo proxies. I need something much stickier for the LSV. the pilots were a killer deal, but don't cut it for the hook. great as an "all around tire" to hard to really jump.
the plates go on all my cars, don't leave home without em!!! :seeya
Indeed where do's it all end, think ime gonna give myself a breather for a month then dive in the deep end again with a revised shopping list,,beam plates en all.
I was looking to go for some sticky yokohamas but have heard some good revues about the Goodyear drag radials,,reading some of the posts recently it seems that too much hook-up and the drivetrain comes under more stress, so i might compromise,,i think Paul Denhart used pilots or Goodyears on his TT.
