Replace the space with an underscore _. It may work then

Just use a % sign to indicate to the system that you have a space in the file name.
IE picturename 1.jpeg would be /picturename%1.jpeg.

%20 (percent twenty if that didn't come out) = space in URLs.

Acually, both will work, but you are correct %20 is standard html for spaces.
I would try and avoid spaces in file names anyway. Some web servers
tend to not function well with spaces in the file names.
