Default With the mods I have will a bigger TB make any improvement?

I have been thinking of trying a larger TB. Or having mine bored out. I know for a stock motor there will be minimal or no gain. But since I have P&P'd the top end and have headers and exhaust is there room for improvement with a larger TB?

I know that having the heads P&P'd would get me over the goal of 400 RWHP. But if I am going to go that far I might as well go to a 368". Which is something I really don't want to do at this time.

Unless you are going to do more cubes I don't think that the TB will do anything to help power.

You might pick up 5 or so. Even the 368's don't require them.

But that didn't stop me from getting it done. :D

When i was tuning my car, we dynoed it at SGC with the stock TB & then immediatley removed it and installed the 63mm TB, there was a 4 HP gain at high RPM, there was no gain below 5000 RPM.

It's of ZERO benefit on anything other than a 415 & even then marginal.

Besides, the 63mm TB are a bear to get sealed, your car wil probably never idle correct again, it's just almost impossoble to get the plates to seal without the addition of the "DAG" sealant, leave it as it is.

Kurt.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Thanks for the replies.

The stock 58 mm TB will flow 800 CFM. Do the math. :)
