Re: Question about AFS Wheels.... (LowFlight)
Nevermind,...I just got off the phone with them...and they don't sell the ACTUAL ZR-1 wheels with the correct depth of the rear center....it is the same BS as before when I bought from OE Wheels...except this time I made sure before I ordered...AAARRRGGHHH....any suggestions before I have to pony-up to the expensive GM wheels? I want satin finish not chrome
Didn't you learn your lesson the first time? :jester
Just fork over the bucks :yesnod: and get the real thing, you will be a lot happier. Remember you get what you pay for.
Aren't you trying to sell your ZR1? Or have you decided to put new wheels and keep it? I love the dark red metallic, one of my top choices if were to get a ZR1.
If you want I could send you some pictures of my GS offset wheels with the 3/4" adapters. With the adapters painted the same color as the rotors you barely notice them. And as far as I can tell there are no problems with running a 3/4" adapter on the car.
Now if you were going to put a 1½ adapter on there you might be asking for some bearing trouble.
I just picked up a set of brand new, GM, ZR-1 5-spokes for 1200 bucks. The wheels are still in thier original GM boxes.
I think 1200 buack was a good deal.
But there is a guy on here selling a set still in the box for 1300 I think it was. I almost bought his, but then I fell on these that I bought. Now I only have 2 and a half sets of GM 5 spokes and the 1 and a half sets of the original directionals. Man I have too many wheels.
If I was you I would get a price from Dave Bright.
He gets a great discount through a friend at a Chevy Dealer,
who is also a ZR-1 owner.... It can't hurt.
david.bright@sun.com should do it.......
