exhaust tip discoloration

I had the Borla exhaust for many years without the tips becoming discolored. I now have the Triflo that will discolor after a short period of time. The spots can be removed, but it requires metal polish and some considerable about of elbow force. I thought 304 stainless should stay clean. Tips temps don't get that hot. Does everyone experience this? Mike

Mike, My Triflows get discolored also rather quickly. I clean them after every run. I wipe them down with some Mothers metal polish. Seems to work good and not too much effort. :cheers:

Ahh, now I remember why I have black tips. ;)
