Default ZR-1's in Canada?

why is it so hard to find them here?! would save me a bucket load of cash if i could find one within Canada rather than me having to plan trips out to the United States and then pay more taxes and fees once i bring one home.

Have you been to the ZR-1 net recently? I have a friend who is selling his 91 red/red ZR-1 - original owner, fully maintained and in very good shape. Car has 60K kilometers, and everything works (to my knowledge). I know he has a oil leak from one of the manifold bolts (common problem, easily fixed with some loctite) otherwise it is a fine car. He is asking 25K U.S., but if a reasonable offer was made, he'll entertain it. You'd have to get it from Ontario to B.C., but since it's a private sale, no provincial taxes (or is that federal? - anyway, only half the tax), you'd save mucho $$$. Let me know if you're interested.

sounds like a good car but the color isn't exactly what i'm looking for, i'm very much interested in either a white or a black but i'm open to a blue aswell.

thanks for the info though, it does seem as though eastern canada has alot more of these beauties than the west.

also i have yet to sell my 89 before i can make any sort of ZR-1 purchase, sucks to be me eh?

The main reason is that most of the Canadian ZR-1s have gone home so to speak. I imported mine late last year. Good luck on the search!
