Are they looking for an OEM dual pump system, or would a single pump conversion kit work?
The OEM sending units are hard to get your hands on, but pumps are easier. You can get a pair from Lingenfelter, or individually from Top Flight. IIRC its actually the same pump from Suburbans of that era, but they gave them different part numbers to charge more for them. So if you track down that PN it might be even cheaper. (Just note that Lingenfelter kit does NOT include the sending unit, its 2 pumps+wiring+socks)
Flyman27 sells the single pump kit on the Net Registry forums for $400+shipping (forums are free, you don't have to pay for membership to access them) or you can buy one from him on Ebay for $425+shipping.
I did the single pump conversion in my 90 after finding the tracings on my sending unit were damaged, my pumps were fine but I never knew what my fuel level was at. The single pump works very well, zero noticeable difference even under heavy load.
