Sometimes you plan for a plenum pull
And sometimes the plenum pull plans for you. Was going to drive to work today, but heard a weird hiss. Opened the hood, and saw this on the passenger side.

and that's just generic vacuum line the factory was a hard line. The stuff just doesn't last with the heat so Id change anything you have that's soft rubber like that while you're there.
I have secondary's deleted and the vacuum plug I have there at that port I change once a year because it just crumbles.

Bad joke aside, I've never had to do the ole plenum pull in 8 years of ownership. Never have had one issue with the Z... But I need too, as I think I have a vacuum leak under it now. My Idle now is about 900-950 RPMs, which is too high....maybe this winter I'll buy Marc Hs plenum pull DVD and just do it.

The one thing I hated about plenum pulls was having to drain a gallon or so of coolant before removing it. No one nearby accepts used coolant, so the hour long drive to an actual hazardous disposal station is a pain. I had Pete install plugs in the injector housing coolant passages and that one change has made plenum pulls an absolute walk in the park.

gordo showed a quick trick. unbolt the overflow tank and flip it over with a bucket to catch the coolant, and then just add it back.
tough stuff is getting the under plenum wiring to the DIC off and back on. take some 2X4s and prop the plenum up.
take care lubing up and reinserting the 16 injectors, it's easy to pinch one and cause a leak!!
best of skill, no luck in fixing ZR-1s

I extended all those wires 12". Makes the plenum job much easier.
