I know of a LT5 long block that will be for sale soon what is a good price for it? Sealed unit but nothing above the intake manifold (no injectors, upper plenum, harness,etc.) I would like to have it as a spare but don't know what it's worth. Mileage is around 25k on it if that matters or not

There are currently 2 complete LT5's on Ebay for $9500 each if that helps, the descriptions are pretty vague.

Depends on condition. I paid $2500 for an early 90 80k mile long block and $5000 for a complete rebuilt late 90.

I assume you mean everything above the cylinder heads is missing, What about all the accessories on the front? what about the engine harness? bell housing there's lots that could add or subtract the total value.

My opinion and I have parted out quite a few of these over the years.

If I'm selling the engine If its oil pan to heads no flywheel or front end accessories, I wouldn't sell that for anything below $4,500 today, it could sit in my garage and collect dust otherwise as someone will come along and buy it at some point.

In the last few months a LT5 engine sold for over 12K on the eBay I remember it did not include any of the computers. But its been over 90 days so I cant find it in search. but the car was red and in a rear end accident I believe so they had proof of it running.
