If the sound is coming out of the speakers but very quiet. Then the amps are bad. You can rebuild them or get some bose amps out of an early 90's Cadillac. The amps in the 1990 Corvette are supposed to be hard wired in so get the pigtails from the doner car as well. I say supposed to because they were not on my 1990 zr1 it had the later style pigtails. If you pull the amps out of Cadillac yourself also grab the CDM box, just to have it for when your CDM craps out too. On the Sevilles and Eldorados the CDM is in the trunk next to the power antenna. I've used these Cadillac parts on both my 1990 ZR1 and my 1990 base. I used parts from 1995 Cadillac's both times.
