George,
You didn't even give the ZR-1 a chance. 7 runs? Yea, it has a little too much HP for the little SCCA autocrosses. But an NCCC high speed event, your ZR-1 would be too much fun on some straights.
I know, you have the C5 and you do real good with that. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Good luck,
Ed

Re: CCW Wheels/Hoosiers for ZR-1 Auto-X setup, FS on EBAY (fastzr1)
Thanks Ed...
I ran the ZR @ the Gainesville Raceway's 'test track' that our club set up--we had no cones in the event. I was by far, the fastest thing out there (getting well into 3rd in 2 places) on the straights, but I could barely slow the thing down, turn-in and transient cornering were dismal--I was really disappointed :( I was 2 1/2 seconds back of a particular Z06 that I can normally beat when I'm in a stock C5 'vert. I was embarrassed for my car, to say the least :bb
I know, I know, if I'd only try dialing it in w/ lotsa' negative camber and put some 4 or 6 piston binders it would be a different story, but we've just added abt 120 HP and lowered the C5--the car is INCREDIBLE!!!
Besides, the ZR is too mint--I want to keep it that way

George, keep the wheels and upgrade the brakes. That should solve the slowing down problem. :jester

George,
If you decide to upgrade the rims on your 90, please let me know.

Seriously, I'm getting closer to making a change--and I'll still give you first right of refusal on them. BTW, they're still mint!!!
Clint, I have a feeling Jacki has something up her sleeve in the binder dept... :skep: Thanks!!!

George,
Crank? What crank? Did someone mention a crank?
Hmm. How about my Alcons with the huge front rotors? Now there is
conversation we should be having.
