For those who have owned and sold a ZR-1…

My first red 90Z I took a bath on it and gave it away due to a sudden opportunity to move overseas for work and had fo fire sale. The car was built to the hilt, but overall was not a great car for 57K miles on the car itself. I owned it from 2003 to 2016.
A 91 I bought from original owner was a steal for $10K all original with 30K mikes. I flipped it a month later to fund my 90 build in 2008. It was white and just not my color. I sold it for $22K so $12K profit in a month.
In 2016 I accidentally came across a Black/Black 95 with 28K miles. With a low ball offer of $25K I bought it as a keeper. I’ll keep it for a few more years and see what happens into retirement here in Japan. Once I am no longer attached to the military it might seem ridiculous to keep it registered. No love for C4s in Japan so hopefully to a military person to take back to the US.

Thank you Sir! It is actually a mix and match with stories attached.......LOL.
The front bumper is a BSM Yokohama piece from the early 90s in Japan that went under many years ago. They only made a kit for standard C4s, but a friend of mine found a bumper at a scrap yard so I bought it for $300 USD and resurrected it through a Corvette shop here. It was badly beaten up everywhere, but worth saving to me.
The side skirts are from Blue Flame Restorations (Brett) and are a recreation of the 49th Street Rockers AKA BFR Rockers now.
The rear skirt is from an ACI GTO body kit that I never used for my 90Z. The car seemed naked in the rear after the front bumper and side skirt so I threw it on to see how I would like it and decided to just let it stay.

Had a 1990 ZR-1 for 10 years. Had a great time in it. Very special car. But at a certain point they just become a money pit. And I just didn't want to wrench on it anymore. Plus I started a business and needed all of the $$$ I could get for startup costs. The business did well. This is my new ride. 2023 BMW M4 Competition xDrive. I waited 12 months to get it from Germany.

I can't believe that car is desirable. It's wretched. I mean....it's as if the designers have not even attempted to make the thing pleasing to the eye -from any angle. In fact, it looks like they put all of their effort into making it look as offensive as it can possibly look....and that will make it "cool"? IDK. It's an atrocious looking car.
Good that you like it, I guess?
