C4's are like tight jeans to me. Feel good once on, but if I have to take them off and put them on 10 times a day, I'd rather be in sweats.
Yep,very early morning or late evening for me in NY.....Humidity levels in NY are horrendous...

try 9:30 at night, 95 * and 95% humidity. makes for poor times at the track.

As far as A/C.... heres how it seems to go for me... So like most, car sits in the garage at night. If I go someplace in the morning, I can turn on the A/C... works very well.... now, if I stop for more than a few minutes and its in the sunlight... the system has a hard time cooling the hot cabin back down... If I happen to stop and can have the car parked in the shade.... it has a much easier time cooling the cabin off again. All in all, once rolling for a while, the A/C seems to work well and I even find myself having to lower the fan speed down to 6 0r 7 and not have to keep it on10....even on very hot days.

On the flip side, my 99 528i will freeze me out in any ambient temperatures...and with all the original components from the factory...go figure.

I’m glad I’m not the only one suffering from lack luster AC. Probably doesn’t help that the parts are 30 years old. I don’t even run mine most of the time because I can feel the difference in work the LT5 is doing when the compressor kicks in. I’m a windows down driver...even in the Florida summer. But I usually do morning or evening drives in the summer.

Put some std seats in, getting in/out is noticeably easier. Though not a Z im using a C4 for my DD, do all errands in it doesnt get old at 6 ft 3.
Installing a keyless doorlock is next. C4 ac never cared for it. The compressors vibrate feel like crap..mine works but almost never use it.

I daily drove mine here in Las Vegas for the first year I was out here. That was from May until the following July, so 2 summer heat cycles, and she did fine. And that was after filling her up and driving out here for the initial move.
Now, does it show the wear and tear of daily driving? Absolutely, but nothing that can't be taken care of...I had the joy of a morning and evening commute on the 215 southern beltway, so she got some rock chips. And, I've worn the drivers seat out on the bolster from all the in and out, again, something easy to fix. But, other than a week long stint in the shop for a vacuum leak, ( that I could have addressed myself had I had a garage at the time ) I really had no mechanical issues.
