New to me: 91 zr-1...lingenfelter
I have been wanting a ZR-1 ever since they came out, newer cars got in the way, but now I pulled the trigger on this 1991 ZR-1 that has been to Lingenfelter's shop twice. It was by chance that I was cruising the c4's for sale forum and saw a thread of a member looking for a ZR-1 in Texas and opened it up to find a thread posting 3 links to pictures of this car at a parking lot car show, and it had the owners phone number listed. So I called the guy up, we chatted for a while, made arrangements to view the car in Sherman, Texas and ended up buying the car. He is the original owner with documentation on car since day 1, both tops, and lots of spare ZR-1 maintenance parts. Thursday we drove back to Sherman, also to pick up a puppy from a breeder in Tulsa, Ok who was on their way to Fort Worth, and did the title transfer and supposed to have the car loaded on a trailer for the trip back to Conroe, Tx. But while waiting for the shipping van to arrive, the broker phoned to say the shipper was delayed in Scottsdale, Az picking up cars from the Barrett-Jackson auction and that he would be picking up the Z on Sunday for a late Sunday delivery. Once I receive the car it is going to my tint guy to get a paint protection package applied and the windows tinted. Now to wait a couple more days till I get to play with it.
The color is Quasar blue and the 3 Corvettes I will be keeping out of the 6 are all blue. I have a 72' LT-1 coupe ( with factory A/C ) targa blue, an 07' Z06 in Le Mans blue, and now this 91' ZR-1 in Quasar blue. My wife says I have a blue fetish.
Enclosed are a few pictures of the car.

Very Nice and congrats. Tha color is stunning in the sun.
I'm familiar with the blue car disease. At one point, my parents had 4 (out of 9) vettes in blue. 70' LT-1 mulsane blue ( now mine), 84' medium blue ( sold to my buddy in 18'), 91' quasar ZR-1 ( my brothers now), 99' Nassau Blue -first museum delivery FRC ( now mine).
The funy part was when I went to buy MY first vette it ended up being a Jet Stream Blue C6 Z06....

Congrats on the Z, I’m with you on the blue, they always seem to find me. I’m currently repainting my red 95 Z to Blue.

the first time the whole car went to lingenfelter's where they did the 475hp package and other mods to the car. the second time the engine was pulled and sent to lingenfelter's for the 530hp upgrade. the owner spent a lot of $$ at lingenfelter.
that would be cool. i always like to look at specialty performance cars.
