It is fun to show someone how it performs in "normal" mode and then blast it with the "full" power mode!!!!! :jester :jester :jester :jester

My power key has never been turned off. I do not even know what it feels like at half power.

Normally I don't but since it was snowing on my commute home last night I did turn it off.

Having a '91 I have to turn it on. Every once in a while I forget to turn it on. Then when I get on an open bit of road I floor it in 2nd or 3rd and I think, "This feels good but not as fast as usual", Then, DUH! I don't see that little green light on. :jester

I only turn mine off when i get low on fuel, say below 1/3 to 1/4 of a tank. The key turns on a second fuel pump in the tank that sits higher then the primary on - so i read someplace. Anyway you do not want to run the pump without it in gas.

Does anyone how high the second pump sits in the tank?

I would like to know that too about the fuel pump.

But I never turn mine off and keep it full of gas.

The pumps are pretty close to one another.

I'm new enough to the ZR-1 that I'm still learning and maybe easily confused at my age.

I thought that even with the power key turned on that you will be operating at half power until conditions are met that turn on the secondaries to achieve full power.

Don't laugh at me, but feel free to get me educated about my Z. Thanks!

You are correct. The secondaries open at a certain % of throttle at a given RPM. Here is the chart.

I may be wrong, but i also believe

1) There cannot be a error with the air bag system
2) operating temp is up to x (not sure what x is)
