Default Widest Wheel & Tires '95 ZR1 with Flares?

Getting ready for a pretty extensive build of a '95 ZR1 with carbon fiber race car hood, bumper, side skirts, rear bumper and wing.

Dropping the car off to Marc Heibeck for 510 upgrade.

Installing Grand Sport flares which are 1 1/2" wider on each side, planning on opening up the wheel wells to take advantage of the added width.

I'd like to stuff the largest wheels & tires possible on the car, thinking 19x13 rear 18x11 front. Gonna be setting the car on coilovers to be able to precisely set the stance.

Let me know your thoughts.....

I have 345x19 Michelins on my ZR which are about as much tire u can stuff into the stock wheel well. There is an upper trailing control arm bolt that needs a little clearancing. The tire is flush w the wheel opening. Not sure I would add flares to it, but...

Will do.

The car is pretty sad shape now just your typical 100k mile C4. It has some damage that was never repaired, so it was the perfect candidate to install the race car parts I bought earlier this year. Car had not ran in over 8 years, still not running great so I thought this would be a great start to the build to get the engine done first to get motivated.

Well if you come to Chicago and Haibeck's do as =Jeff= said and give us a call. You'll be able to get a preview of what a well running LT-5 is like to drive.

I'm excited! Kind of think I'm nuts spending close to $15k on the coilovers and engine, that's more than double what I paid for the car. I've drooled over these cars for years, and to get one I can really do anything I want to it and not feel like I'm destroying the value of the car, is amazing.

I think once the interior is replaced with red, and exterior redone in Admiral Blue, all CF panels installed, it will be a one of a kind beast that will be a blast to drive. That wing is freakin huge!

Bolted up a set of C6Z06 black Spyders on the ZR1, moved most of the cars out of the shop today to do a little rearranging, funny thing is, the thing I was happiest about is they all started and didn't have to be boosted. Took the Z around the block and it's running a little better. Gonna wait and let Marc work his magic on it. That green one is a monster....

I have 305's on the front of mine and big brakes.
335's on the rear.
That is with stock body parts.
Have fun,
Robin

15K in upgrades and you didn't even pay half that for a 95? Well done.....From what I see in the photos it looks like you stole that Z.......On that red Z in the parking lot,is that the C6 ZO6 wheels you are referring to?it? What size are the front and rears?

Good luck with everything...

The wheels are stock C6 ZO6 sizes, had to use a 1/4" spacer on the rear to clear, these were leftover rollers from the 58 TT Restomod. Probably going to have to have custom offsets.

Bought it and the black '93 from a lady that ended up with them after her brother passed. Neither had run in 7-8 years, so I gambled a little bit. Bought them as is as a package. Thankfully only fuel pumps, fluids, opti and tires and starter got them both running.

The black car is pretty nice, but the Z has been used, 105k miles, tired inside and out, bumps and bruises everywhere, worst body damage was passenger wheel arch, that's why I decided to use GS flares and open the body up to put massive tires on the rear and install the carbon fiber body parts they weigh next to nothing.

It will be cool with the race body bolted up and ton of power, Admiral Blue red interior, gonna do a custom exhaust diffuser that incorporates the carbon fiber undertray in the rear, with cutouts behind the rearend.
