Auction: 118 mile Competition Yellow 1990

This is part of the Ron Deffenbaugh Collection up for sale at Mecum Kansas City in April that also includes 3 more low mile 1990's (2 black and 1 red). Deffenbaugh built one of the largest waste management companies in the country. He died in 2014.

Melting Slicks
The factory paint on these cars had problem with photosynthesis. Meaning the paint would change color when exposed to sunlight. I think it would darken when put in the sun if I remember correctly.
I still have factory paint that has a warning label on the can. Had several of these cars in non Z's and Z's.
Love this 1 year only color.

The Comp Yellow is Photo Sensitive. I searched for mine for 1.5 years and have had owned it 15 years.
Of course, she has lots of upgrades so she can haul butt.
Hardly drive her anymore, best times were on the Florida Turnpike and I-95
