For the experts I COME IN PEACE !!
Hi guys first of all I love the C4 ZR1. It's a legend to me. I have a buddy that lives in new Jersey and has a mint 1995 ZR1. Only 30k on the clock. We were talking the other day about how impressive it is that a car from 1995 still can kick so many cars *** from today. We realized we actually have a fairly large number of car enthusiast and will put together a track day at either Englishtown or ATCO and a roll racing event this summer in the Poconos.
The fact is I won't bother you with ALL the cars that will be coming that I know the ZR1 will beat (and there is a lot) We are curious on how you guys feel (these cars are all stock) it will match up with other Corvettes in the group. We have 6 other Corvettes in the group.
1996 LT4 Corvette (M6) LT4 5.7 - 330 Horsepower
2000 C5 Coupe (A4) LS1 5.7 - 345 Horsepower
2003 c5 Coupe (m6) LS1 5.7 - 350 Horsepower
2007 C6 Coupe (A6) LS2 6.0 - 400 Horsepower
2009 C6 Coupe (M6) LS3 - 6.2 - 436 Horsepower
2015 C5 Coupe Z51 (A8) - LT1 - 460 Horsepower
BTW this isn't any grudge matches and all the guys are cool guys. Also it's very understood that the ZR1 is already a winner because of the discrepancy in age. I will video all these runs and post here when it happens. I was just looking to get feedback from the owners that are well aware of how they would match up against these 6 vettes in our group.

That sounds like a fun time...... Don't know how my 94 Z would match up with any of the Vettes listed, but it would be a blast to find out......Tom

Even the C7 Z51 ?? More power and less weight with top speed of 192mph?? If you're right I'm going to bet on the ZR1 and make some money I can care less if it beats my car.

lol we said STOCK Jim
Also this shows a roll race between a ZR1 and a C5 coupe. The ZR1 wins but it's pretty competitive. You guys sure it would still walk a LS2, LS3, LT1 C7?? You guys better be right!!! Bets will be made
PS- I think these videos are ok now on corvetteforum if not I'll remove. I do not know the people in the video. Just using it for reference.

I love it when the guy in the C5 realizes he ain't gonna catch the ZR. You can see at top end the ZR walks the C5. Stock block ZRs were doing 140+ in the 1/2 mile in Chicago last June. I ran a C5 Z06 a couple of years ago at Byron. I made up two cars on him after the 1/8. That's where this motor really starts to haul azz.
Here's a good analogy for how the LT-5 runs. It always brings a tear.

There is a group of owners that take there cars to a local track, can't remember where and at the end of the day they always leave a lot of C5-C6 owners shaking their heads.

might go out to ohio in may for some flying mile
love to run the LSV or the TT Z06 to see if they can hold up
running those distances is where the Z really shines

To bad no modded ZR-1's.. A ZR-1 with the same HP as the C7 Z51 will walk on the C7 in a rolling run 60 to 140. The fact that you even compair a 20-25 year old car with a new higher tech one says a lot for the old girl.

I think you're referring to the Crown Point Corvette Club Challenge.
The FBI from Illinois has won that trophy 3x.
