Default A ZR-1 Convertible?

I was at a "GM" car show today with my 1974 convertible and was rather taken by this C4. It was badged as a ZR-1. Beautiful car but in my C2/C3 ignorance I do not know if it was real. Did the ZR-1 come in a convertible? If it was for sale, and real, I would have bought it. I am not into C4s but what a beauty!! But for some reason it does not look like a ZR-1?

Doesn't look like a wide body car. Did you notice if the car was a manual trans? Did you see the LT5 engine?
Kinda looks like the owner just stuck some ZR-1 badges on the car.

That was my thought. Unfortunately. No the hood was not up so I did not see the engine. I guess the car was just badged. Too bad. Nice C4. I am not particularly fond of them but a ZR-1 appeals.

Badge is not even in the right place. LOL.. I vote fake. If it was the real deal the owner would have the hood up showing off the hart of the beast.

No, not a ZR-1. I thought you talked about getting a C4 ZR-1 in OT?

It is possible that someone installed an LT5 but the car is a standard C4 width.

There have been some ZR-1's modified to convertibles but no factory convertibles were made for sale to the public.

Here's a modded one I saw at a car show

Looking forward to seeing your ZR-1 convertible project bear fruit. That should be special.

Perhaps this is a tribute car, you know its like when someone make an SS or Z28 out of a regular car and tries to pawn it off as the real deal. HeeHee!

It reminds me of what the tuner crowd does to Hondas
