You gotta stay on this one. It needs to be rescued.

I wonder whats the story behind this ZR-1. Ive see this done to other muscle cars when the owner dies, and the family cant sell or give away the car.

Id be interested in this car.. Any word or more details? Any visible mods? think I saw exhaust tips on there. paint condition? Id steal the rims from my 93 and build them to my z sizes and slam that puppy to the ground.

Update: I talked to the owner today. It is a flood car from Hurricane Sandy. He stated that the only thing that doesn't work is the stereo amplifier(?) Getting a price was like pulling teeth. He said as it sits now $11,000. He knows it's 1 of 11 black rose cars. Sounds like he buys project cars and then does nothing with them. I'm trying to buy a n '87 GN from him also. Here are some more pics.

Thanks for the update looking at the pic it looks like the water got above the center console. Looks like a good bit of the wiring has already been apart. Wonder why the shifter has a lift ring for reverse? . I'll pass on this one.

What an absolute crying shame. Agree about the price. This is for someone to pull apart and put back together piece by piece.

I restored this car. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4s-...od-car-3k.html
In Flood car all relays, window motors, seat motors, dash,Steering column, your wheel sensors are destroyed, your Abs unit is pry no go, Heating and cooling vacuum system is gone All those console switches are Bad and the shocks, and motors are no good. Only thing left that was good on this 95 was the top and body
If it were me I would buy it... One hell of a project.
The 95 Has been restored- Love it, Vortech supercharged. Lt5=WORTH It

Thanks for the pictures. 1994 Black Rose ZR-1 with gray interior. Per the ZR-1 Net Registry only four of them exist. This one with hurricane damage, one in Florida, one that I personally know was totaled, and one in my garage. I still hope that someone rescues this rare car.

I dont have the funds right now, or id make an offer and purchase this thing, all the stuff are easy fixes if in fact the motor is okay.

At $11k, you'd be money ahead to buy a non flood car for a few $$ more...and turn the key and enjoy NOW.

Plus it may have a salvage title that follows it. I would think you may have $15+ in it by the time your done.

Probably not a true Corvette enthusiast and just collected the insurance money and moved on. Still a shame though
