Misc LT5 Questions
Hi.
I have a couple of trivial questions that I thought somebody here might know the answers to.
1. Some LT5 water outlets have smooth sides (top & bottom), whereas some others can be seen to have a distinct boss, as if it was intended to be drilled and tapped for a sensor of some sort. Does anyone know why they were there? Were the bossed outlets early production models?
2. I see many of the engines done by Geoff Jeal or John Lingenfelter have combined inlet runners. Are they just welding up the indent in the plenum casting prior to cutting out the divider, to in effect form a large oval intake passage, or is there more to it than that?
TIA
