Default 1990 cam sensor

Hey guys,
Looking for a source for a cam sensor. Mine has a crack. I thought it was a o-ring issue but I replaced the o-ring and still leaked. I just pulled the sensor and I can feel the crack. The only place I've found one is Whites racing at 295 plus shipping. I know they are reputable but I hope to find one a little cheaper? Jerry no longer sells them. Any ideas?????

Thanks Steve

I checked Rock Auto and they still have them listed, not sure if they are in stock though.

Thanks guys, Jerry no longer carries them. I always try Jerry first but good news rock auto did have them and it saved me over a 100 cash!! $100 I can spend on something else.

Thanks again,

Steve

I left the shield off.I will get another shield and modify it to fit with the new sensor.Did the stock shield work with the sensor you put in your car?

I haven't received the new sensor yet. I will have to modify the stock shield if mine doesn't fit and I'm guessing it won't if yours didn't. Sounds like you didn't have problems with the heat?

Thanks Steve

I Have an original GM sensor if you are interested. I thought my problem was the sensor, but it turned out to be the computer itself. So I did install it but never drove the car with it in. Like new and still have the box...

Thanks for the offer!! If Jeff wants yours he called it first. Mine just came today and I will try to install this weekend. Whites racing has them NOS in their inventory and want 295 plus shipping so I would think any price between the 175 I paid for the aftermarket and 295 would be fair. Just my opinion.

Thanks Steve

The stock shield didn't fit my part either but I dremmel tooled my shield about 1/4" and it fit perfect. Part seemed to be good quality and no leaks after letting run for about 20 min. I hope the pot holes here in southern Mi are fixed soon so I can get her out. If I hit one of these craters it would total the z out.
