Yeah, I found that same thread when I was looking to take the plunge, decided to go the 380 route, best bang for the buck.

save the money on the crank, offset grind a stock crank to 3.75. If you need more inches use the money for big bore 4.165 this will get you a 408ci.

Or get a hold of Jim who bought my 402 mono runner. I don't think he ever installed it.

same as a 368 plus $300 for crank offset grind.

Don't get me wrong I would love to have a Bryant crank, but $5,000. is just too pricey.

Buy the car done. If there's any advice that you MUST follow, it is this.

Even with doing the build yourself, all the machine work and parts will still run you close to $10 grand. If your going to do the motor in your car, then you have the additional downtime of your car being side-lined. Buying one done is not bad advice.

I agree, funny when I bought mine I was like , psshhhh I don't need a stroker motor, I did not for one second believe I was going to mod the car. My 91' Z28 was the punishment car that's why I put a built LS motor in it, well not the case. Another question where do you guys recomend I find parts for the LT5 engine build?? Pistons, crank, etc. I also think maybe a piston swap 9.1 comp. and Hendersons TT setup would be a nasty bastard. Not sure if 5 psi and a stock motor with 11.1 will be worth the trouble, nice to have some hard numbers.

Easy for you guys to say, you have killer cars done already but I do agree with you. problem is not to many strokers up for sale that most or I can afford.

Just slap a 150-175 dry shot kit on it and be happy
