Default Potential buyer new to forum: 1991 ZR1

First off, let me intro myself. Professional photographer as a side business, and Project Manager for Boeing.

I'm looking at a local 1991 ZR1, 77k miles. Clean with exception to bolstered seat entrance (worn).

$19,000 is the asking price.

I am a 2 time owner-BMW enthusiast transgressing to Vettes at age 53

I've read some history on this year/model, it seems to fit me. 375 hp is more than enough for my Gordon Lightfoot.

I'm looking for a quality mechanic in the Seattle area that I can pay to give this a once over to evaluate the condition of the motor.

Thank you!

Tell us more about the car. Have you driven it yet?

$19K sounds a little high,IMO.

Thank you for the 1st reply! No I have not. I'm setting up an appt to drive it this week. It is a dealership. 2 owners apparently, clean car fax.

Not sure what to inspect, expect, or even retrospect after the test drive. Anything you can offer, I'm all ears.

Theres a ton of knowledge on this forum and on zr1 registry. The price sounds a little high but because its a dealer Its not unexpected. I think its hard for anyone to really chime in because theres so much missing we dont know. No pics no details etc etc.

Can't stand stealerships....I'm always so shocked when people turn their cars into them. Not enough info on the car. It's just my opinion that someone who would drop a zr-1 off at a dealer probably isn't a real enthusiast??.. And the car is probably going to need some work. I suppose it won't hurt to look. Good luck. Btw I sent you a PM.
