Interesting.
If it is a ZR1 'vert, why would they have used a standard C4 rear bumper valence?

It does have the wide rear wheels and a ZR1 badge (which is not in the right place) but as we all know, those items alone do not a ZR1 make...

GM had the silver blue car built by a company in California.

It's got a ZR-1 wide body rear on it and the conv deck lid has been modified on the edges for fitment to the rear quarters.

I believe you're assuming that the CHMSL in the cover makes it a conventional C4? If this was done to be registered and driven it would have required the CHMSL for "safety inspections". By all appearances except that and maybe the emblem placement it certainly appears to be a wide-body build.

It's a wide body and the rear brake light was installed into the rear bumper. That CONAN license plate is familiar as well.

That's the car that ASC ? did. Michael Beal bought it from Corvette Mike a couple of yrs ago. I tried to buy it from Mike but couldn't get the deal done.

That is Mike Beal's car, and I believe it was originally a CA car. It was at Carlisle in 2012, and had a feature story in Corvette Magazine. I believe he sold it since, but I am unsure of to whom. It is a magnificent car.

Here's another one. It looks to have had a narrow body conv upper surround panel used and then widened.

That car belonged to a doctor in my Corvette Club. It had a really loud exhaust and sounded awesome. He also had a Callaway speedster purple with peach interior and a 95 ZR-1 with under 1000 miles. Not sure what he has now, but I know he has a new ZR1.

I heard a story on this car some time ago, the guy that had this done is American but lived across the pond at the time he crashed his ZR-1 so he enlisted a mechanic to take a standard convertible and make it a ZR-1 with parts from his Z that was a total loss. From what I remember the project took like 2 or 3 years. Oh Merry Christmas everybody!!!!

Mike Beal purchased the car Corvette Mike, who had said the original owner was a Dr.
