The GSD3 was my favorite, but I never drove any Nittos.

Kumho V710, stock sizes...they have a little extra stick. Lol
Who cares what the treadwear is when I only put about 1000 miles/year on them.

I'm running the GY GSD3 275's up front and 315's in rear. I've really enjoyed those tires, and have my best 60' on them, even quicker than my BFG Drag Radials. I think they handle and look great; I like the tread pattern on them, too.

We are likely to get a ticket with the V710s in the US due to lack of tread even with a car only driven slightly and then never in the wet.

I have been using the new discontinued V700 Ecsta with some apparent tread but in a dot racing compound. However simply due to age they need replacing. I will look at the Nittos.

I am also in the 200 mile/year range.

Edit: I see Nitto has the NT-01 DOT 6/32nds competition tire in 275/315 sizes in 17 inch. That should be a US legal replacement for the Kumho V700 Ecsta I now use and the V710 that others use.

Not likely to get a lot of miles but I am expecting that not many of us drive our C4s that much anymore at all.

What are the recommended tires for someone who wants a decent handling tire that can hook up on the street when going WOT?

I wish they made Azeni's in these sizes.

GSD3 on one and Nitto 555s on the other also have a spare set of wheels with Verds

I've had good luck with my Nitto NT05's.
275's up front and 315's in the rear.
Ran them on the track at New Jersey Motorsport's Park and they cornered like she was on rails.

Nitto 555's or Invo's are also excellent tires though not sure the latter is available in ZR-1 sizing.

There was another shop in town that has a hookup on some NT05's. So I went with them. I can't wait to get new tires.

The specs answer the question. It is for a 12 to 13 inch rim. We have 11s in back. I have used a 335 Kumho Ecsta V700 at one point but even it was not terribly happy on an 11 inch rim. Once Kumho made the Ecsta V700 in 314/35/17 I switched over. It fits much better. I also don't like the 27.7 inch height of the tire above.

My tires have plenty of tread (started at 6/32nds and still are at 4/32nds but they must be 12 years old by now. I better get out and put some miles on the car.

I dont have a ZR-1 but I do have a set of 91' ZR-1 Sawblades on it and run the Mickey Thompson Street Comps. I'm happy with them.

the nittos nt05 look like a good choice

I love the polished a molds look great

I need some nittos but I'm gonna wear out the hoosiers first!

hopefully by spring I'll be on some fresh rubber and it will likely be NT05 or Toyo RA1 like those too I have them on the turbo car and they are a great all around tire
