wonder..
I wonder if it would run for six months in a car with even the plastic pulley chromed or replaced. That is quite a show piece but way, way too much chrome for my tastes. $15k with no bell housing, tranny, anything. It's easy to get carried away with these things to the point you never recover the money....
wonder if it will sell?
Looks a little like a super model to me, high maintenance but not necessarily someone you'd marry....and I love the lt5 in mine.

Hey, Doc! Yeah, I thought the same thing. I watch the British Show Top Gear with the three crazy guys who drive some very fast cars over time and their tv show's central room where they present, etc. is big and open and all the attendees stand. Guests get to sit on a two person bench seat from a car, etc. Often in the center they do have a coffee table made from the block of an engine! Probably a Corvette as they pan them, pan any car not made in Europe, for that matter. Say it's powerful and fast then trash the interior, the suspension, the gear shifts. Our main failing is we aren't making them in Europe or Asia. You do get to see sometimes in wacky ways some incredibly fast cars though...really fast.

Gorgeous engine. Not my cup of tea, but it sure does show off the LT5 in all it's glory. It belongs in a street rod with an open engine compartment. It would be a shame to close a hood on that jewel.
Price? What is the average LT5 in a crate going for these days? 7K? 8K? Add the pulleys and headers, and all that labor. A little high, but not waaay out of line.

That Fram filter is designed to be installed in the inverted postion. It has the rubber diaphram in it that keeps the oil from draining out when it is removed. Overall, a pretty good filter in its own right. Others do exist tho that also are designed to be inverted.
