This Car was at Mecum St Charles, Il, Oct 25-27 2012, bid to 25k, No Sale, identical pictures.
http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...=FP0912-136928
It was also at Kansas City, MO, December 6-8, 2012, bid to $20k. Again identical pics as the Kissimee auction coming up.

Car should be worth in the $40's, probably why the owner won't sell.

I'll bet the reserve is in the $30k - $32k range.

I'd have to agree with that. I do applaude the gent for not giving the car away though.

Sad thing is, now by the time it's all said & done transport costs & auction fees are going to take a huge bite.

We decided against auctions & brokers but finally got lucky & sold the 168 mile Ruby Zee. I think you just have to wait for ther right buyer and be realistic on price, which means you do not have to give it away.

I would recommend Hemmings internet as the best long term ad placement.

The ironic thing is; on a lark, I put a small ad for our CE53-03 on the Jerrys Gasket site and it sold within 5 days. Go figure, a custom C5 on a ZR-1 LT5 exclusive site.

I hope the market is on a slow climb upwards, but we have to believe in it and not fire sale these cars to insure the recovery.

If it has a good original color repaint on it does it matter? We have a red 90 Z out my way that has been repainted and its noticeably better than factory paint with not a single orange peel anywhere. I know originality is a factor, however, after this many years of normal service keeping it perfect isn't going to happen.

I'm going to be at Mecum's Auction in Kissimee. I'll look for it. Interested to see what it goes for.

It only matters to "some" unless the car is a low miler and all original. Then, the buyer for the car probably will have heart burn over it. NCRS types like only original.

It is not a good repaint. I don't know the previous history of the car, but my guess is that it had been in some sort of an accident. The bumpers are several shades off in color compared to the rest of the body. The whole car has been painted, and it was not a very good job.

$40K for a ZR-1? Is it because it only has 19,000 miles, or that it has the revised engine? I got my 91 with 28,000 miles for half that.
