How can you tell if ZR1 wheels are authentic/OEM?
Hi CF brethren,
I'm looking at picking up the wheels in this thread but want to make sure they're OEM. I don't know anything about the C4 style wheels but I am interested in them because of their size (17x9.5 and 17x11).
Are there any tell tale signs that the wheels are genuine?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

You can see in this pic, all the lugnut areas are the same depth. On the OEM wheels, the 17x11 wheels are deeper recessed.

How about marking on the rear? Like castings or something in the mold. Are there any defining marks like that?

Agree with others here that the rear lugs don't look deep enough to be a 56mm rear offset for ZR-1.
OEM ZR-1 will have an AFS and made in JPN stamp. The OEM's are also lighter weighing in about ~21lbs. Wheels in the link there appears to be more like the 1996 GS style also 17x11. Search for pictures between 1995 ZR-1 and 1996 GS and you will see the difference.
94-95 RPO QA2 OEM's are stamped AFS - silver paint
If not aftermarket, the GS wheels:
96 RPO QA2 OEM's stamped RJC (Rear), RGW (front) - silver paint

GS A-mold is 50mm and the wheels are black. The front sides are stamped jwl and the rear side of the rims
have an afs number and made in Jpn (Japan) on the backside of the spokes.
Also there is a possibility of finding silver 96 A-molds wheels for the collector editions but they had 8.5 inch front vs 9.5 front and 9.5 rears
Reguardless nothing in that ad provided by the OP is OEM
You can see the JWL stamping to the left of the red caliper on front of my ZR-1 for reference. GC
And here in this close up you can see the 36MM rear ZR-1 wheel which is deeper and the 50MM GS wheel

The rear offset for a rear ZR-1 factory A-mold is 36 mm and the wheels are silver. The rear offset for a 1996

Question for you guys,
How hard is it to still find like new/ mint OEM 5 spokes?
Has anyone ever sent their's in for refinishing and gotten them back looking exactly like they should???

The key is to get them refinshed ALL at the same time. A lot of us have had them PCed over the years. Ye Old Wheel Shoppe in MD does a great job on these and the DYMAGs for the Callaway crowd.
