Ok,

I know we went through this many time but I just wanted to say that after a discussion with Bill Boudreau I've decided to try the RedLineOil MTL in my ZF since I live up north and wanted something thinner.

Guess what, Castrol 10W60 is the way to go, I just switch back to it and the tranny is much quieter and smoother!

So Castrol 10W60 (BMW) all the way!

As far as I know, there have never been any official tests of the Red Line product in the ZF6.

The Castrol, (10/60), BMW),is the only product the manufacturer approves of, other than factory fill.

Yes.
I've been sponsord by Red Line Oil for my racing wannabe pro race car career and after a discussion with Bill regarding my situation about the weather in Canada I've decided to try it. Now that the weather is in the 90's the MTL didn't cut it so I went back to the Bimmer stuff and the difference is noticable!

Best!

At the risk of really stirring things up, any comments on real time experience with the Amsoil Syncromesh? I have 3 bottles on my shelf that are intended for my ZF based on previous threads.

I don't have a C4 so can't comment personally, but have sold a lot of the AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) (Product Code MTFQT) to forum members with many posting positive reviews in threads and to the best of my knowledge, none have ever told me that they were dissatisfied.

For those that opt for the AMSOIL option, more than happy to get AMSOIL products for forum members at dealer wholesale pricing, about 25% below retail, via the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program. Drop me a PM if interested.
