FS - 1994 White/Black LPE 415 ci/686 Hp ZR1
The car has 25K miles and is in pristine condition.
Mnay of you know the car but here is a bit of history on the car.
For the August 1998 Issue of Road & Track, John Lingenfelter brought a yellow 1994
ZR1 to the Top Speed Shootout where Mario Andretti drove all of the cars at the Fort Stockton test track. Lingenfelter's yellow ZR1 ran 201.5 MPH with full exhaust and 218.1 on open headers. John thought it would have run 220MPH given another week to get the right catalytic converter set up.
Late in 1999, Sriyantha Weerasuria (SW) bought the engine from John and had it installed in this White ZR1 that I have owned for 10 years. This ZR1 represents the very best LT5 performance that Lingenfelter could produce. It did 686 HP on the Lingenfelter engine dyno. Graham Behan, the Lotus engineer responsible for the LT5 who works at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, knows the car well.
It has the best of everything consistent with the best LPE engine.
LPE 415 engine package with Siamesed plenum
High pressure fuel regulator with boost pump
Forced air induction
Samco Silicon hoses
Ron Davis aluminum radiator
Watson headers ceramic coated
B&B polished exhaust with x-pipe
Fidanza light flywheel
Brembo front brakes
Revalved Bilstein coil-over shocks with roadrace controller
Heim joint suspension end links
Front wheel line lock
6-point roll bar with removable door bars
Dana 4.10 gears
Fored steel stub axles
Fikse FM5 forged 3-piece wheels
I have the original receipt from LPE for the engine.

I need to look at the LPE receipt which lists the mileage on the car when the motor was installed.
LPE went completely through the motor before it was sold to SW.
I recall 21,xxx miles which would put about 4K miles on the motor.
It is definitely broken in!

In a recent test from 0-150-0, the 2011 ZR1 went from 0-150-0 in 25.6 in looking at an old tuner shootout article, the LPE ZR-1 did it in 23.3 seconds without CF brakes and the benefit of modern materials....interesting.

Well Paul, I have mixed emotions about this! When you sell the car, you still have to promise to come hang out with us...... ZR-1 or not. Deal?

I have mixed emotiions as well.
I've owned this car for 10 years and have lots of great memories.
Paul D and I had some great times with the LPE 415's.
Who knows, it may not go anywhere.
I do now if I sell it I will regret it.
It's more than just a car, it's the ZR1 culture that makes it special.

I know my LPE 385 was basically $32,000 (give or take) just for the engine package if I remember correctly. This engine package has a few more items so it had to be $40,000+? Not to mention it would cost the same if not more today but of course it would never be built by John himself. The cost would only be the same but you could never dulicate the history. This car is amazing, true LPE history.
Ted where are you buddy, forget my car this car is a steal for whats done to it.
Good luck with your sale

I think that car has been drag raced... lol
My favorite ZR-1--ever...
The execution of that car can't be topped, IMO.
Wish I could get that bad boy, but the lady to the left would have none of it.

What I need is a Lady like that begging me to keep the ZR1!
What a great bunch of car guys! You're really making this hard!
Maybe I better hang on to it for another 10 years. At the rate I put miles on this car it would still have less than 30K miles! It will keep my C6 SSB ZR1 company!
I'm going out to Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside Vegas for my ZR1 driving school on Monday. That should give me the right perspective!
I did the driving school with a bunch of C4 ZR1 owners about 12-13 years ago. Lots of good memories. Scotty White was there with his ZR1 race car.

I'm with George, my favorite ZR-1 ever.
I saw SW run this car at Bowling Green, very impressive. And the boy can drive too:

I love my 91', which is a twin to this car, but not under the hood
