The allegation is that the owner may have bid on his own auction so he wouldn't have to let it go for $19k, especially since the CL ad got renewed a day or two after the auction ended. What does ebay care? they got there seller fee.

I wonder if it was lack of financing, or just a seller didn't want to sell for 20k. I was going to email the CL add and ask them, but it is not worth the effort at this point.
BTW Is someone accusing me of something?
This is the car I bought, a 1993 plain C4 with 50260 miles off of craigslist St. Louis from a seller 10 miles from me. I already put AR TTII's on it because I don't like the saw blades.
