Thinking of selling my Z...
...Yea, it kinda felt weird typing that title. I gotta face the facts. I am a horsepower junkie and the idea of a twin turbo'd LS3 Vette keeps dancing in my head. I would rate my Z a 7.5/10 on the exterior and 9/10 for the interior. I've got 89K miles and besides minor things like weatherstripping and radio not working, the car runs flawlessly. I am sure someone could find the video I posted a few months back of me doing a baby wheelie at the racetrack lol. Anyway, assuming I pull the trigger on this, how much do ya'll think I could get?

it's a 92 Z with cut airlid, relocated MAT, ceramic coated jeal headers, x-pipe, 4.30 gears and a Corey Henderson tune. It dynoed at 375 rwhp.

Yea I think I would miss her if I sold her. I don't see very many Z's around to begin with so I guess its good that I have a strong running one now. I think that when the 2012 Vettes get released with a new body style, the prices on the 08's will drop significantly - hopefully the high 20 thousand dollar range. If so, maybe I can buy one next year if I get a good deal. A twin turbo'd LS3 in Nassau Blue would look down right evil next to my Z

I'm guessing the '92 market isn't much different than the '90-91 market? While the prod numbers are lower, it's a 375 horse car like those.
I'd guess $16-18k if you really want to get it sold.

Dont sell your Z, you will regret it for a very long time.

Nacho that is what I am waiting. C7 to come out so I can get a C6 Z06 for less than 30k. I never thought I would see a C4 ZR1 with 35K miles sell for less than 20K, than this year at Bloomington I seen a nice ZR1 sell for 11k.

I would have to guess about $13-14K. You may be able to get a little more, or you may have to settle for a little less. Depends on the buyers that are out there, and how patient you are. I put an add out on mine on Dallas Craiglist at $14K just to see what kind of interest I would get and got two inquiries, with one person coming to actually look at the car. It's not that I really want to sell it, but the AC on these cars make them almost unusable during the middle of the summer here in Texas, and I've been thinking of downsizing on my number of vehicles (I'm up to 3 plus a Jetski, and really don't have time to enjoy everything). Was thinking of getting rid of everything and replacing with a C6 Grand Sport and a CanAm Spyder. Of course, if I don't get what I want for it, I'll just keep it. I don't have to sell it, and I'm sure you're in the same situation. If I could get the AC to actually handle the Texas heat, I'd probably keep it as it gets more looks at car shows with the hood open than any C6.

Having had both a regular C4 Vette and a ZR-1, the regular Vette beats the AC on the ZR-1. Having said that, my 92 Z does a good job on the highway in 100 degree heat without the smoked windows. It doesn't help that the AC unit is smaller than the regular Vette but that is the trade off when you get a ZR-1.
The only way that I would sell my 92 ZR-1 is to get a 93 40th ZR-1. Carlos still has some issues with his car but overall, even with the mileage, I think that it would be worth around $15,000. There was a red 92 ZR-1 for sale at Carlisle and the guy wanted $27,000 for it and the engine had issues. If the LT5 is running real good, everything else is fixable and the parts are available.
Just my 3 cents worth.

Well, I went ahead and posted mine for sale for $12,900. I don't have to sell it, so I'm not going to just give it away, but I think that's a very fair price considering what I paid for it and the amount I've spent on it. I'll continue to drive and enjoy it, and if it doesn't sell, then I'll try upgrading the AC next summer with a parallel flow condenser instead of the stock tube/fin unit.
