I'm thinking the first production ZR-1 was shipped in late 1989 so this year makes the 20th anniversary. Was there some kind of recognition or mention either here, the Registry, or at the Museum?

Yes... my ZR is #566 with a 'born date' of 10/27/89 and was delivered to the dealership and placed in stock on 11/20/89...here is the stock # and date still on under hood in grease pencil>>>

Bill of Sale is dated 11/21/89...

I was wondering the same thing. If not this year you would think sometime in 2010 that there would be some type of recognition of the 20th anniversary.

I have similar experience as Michael... Mine is #553 (13 ZR-1s before Michael's) born 10/27/89. It was a signed special customer order deal by Chev dealer in Carlsbad Ca where dealer had wheels chrome plated after delivered to their store for $899 additional cost. Final delivery to customer was made on 11/24/89
