Default Source for good Roll Bar?

Hi, I just purchased a 93 DRM 600 & want a roll bar. Where would be a good source? Thanks!

Haibeck put's together a good rollbar. Stifens up the frame and fit's nicely, great mod.

Autopower has been the main source for competition SCCA & NASA certified roll bars and cages. They are widely used in C4s and seem to be the bar of choice. I have helped install several and they fit well. My race car has the full auto power cage and it was just certified by SCCA a couple of weeks ago. The bars fit well and are relatively easy to mount. The four point bar that you would use for the street can be easily made to look good while retaining the carpet etc. Mounting a camera or a fire extinguisher would also be easily done. I am not sure where these cages are availble anymore but would make an excellent choice if you truly want the real deal.

Thank you, I just found them last night. Really, I wanted some input on quality levels. Thanks, Tim

Yes, I bought the 385 Cube Red Car in Wisconsin, with the extra engine. Only 8K on the build.

Thanks Frank, I actually been a member over there for a few years. I bought a LPE 475 car in 2009. How much torque advantage is the 385 over a 350 LT5? Thanks.

Marc has a comparason on his site. A slightly modded 350 vs. a 385. With the newest porting advance's the diff. is quite a bit more in both HP & torque.

I've installed both Auto power and DRM and prefer the DRM chassis bar over the Autopower roll bar.
Two main reasons for me are:
(1) The rear down tubes on the DRM are angled further back, then turned down vs. straight with an angle cut on the AP.
(2) The cross bar is welded to the rear down tubes on the DRM which moves the harness wrap further rearward vs. the cross bar welded within the main hoop on the AP which puts the harness wrap right up against the back of the seats.
These are my preferences and in no way am I saying either bar is better than or inferior to the other, just my reasoning for sticking with the DRM.

Another difference is the AP came powder coated as the DRM was raw and I had my local guy powder coat it.

Autopower install

DRM in ZR-1

DRM in 96 track car

DRM raw

Forgot to mention , the rearview mirror is just about totally useless after roll bar install.

Nice comparison Shrek !

This is mine. Not sure which it is but it seems to be great quality.
