Default Oil Leaks From Exhaust Bolts?

I know this was discussed previously some time ago, but I could use some help/clarification.

My car leaks oil at the exhausrt manifold, more on the left that the right, primarily when it is put away for a week or more, which is often. I have understood that some of the exhaust bolts/studs penetrate oil galleries and leak over time. My questions:

1. The bolts are obviously not easy to get at, but I can see the leaks (I think) from under the car. Exactly which bolts are involved in the leaking?

2. Different from right and left, or the same?

3. What is the easiest way to get at them?

4. What is the most useful fix? I assume a sealant? What kind?

Many thanks, and anything else I have forgotten?

Hopefully, it is at the stud. It is located about in the center of the header flange. You can tell which one it is by it having a 13 mm nut on it rather than it being a bolt with a spacer.

Getting to it may be easy, may be hard, depending on if the nut is secured to the stud or if the nut comes off the stud. If you are lucky, when you try to remove the nut, the whole stud will come with it. If so, use some Loctite 565 on the stud and replace it. If not then you will have a dickens of a time getting the stud out.

When trying to remove a stud, I've always had some luck, by putting another nut in front of the existing nut and then turning the original nut in against the other nut in order to turn the stud rather than just the nut. Ofcourse the stud needs to be long enough for the second nut to fit. I hope this wasn't too confusing.

Yes, when looking up when the car was on the rack today, I could see one stud, and it did seem to have enough threads for another nut. It is on the lower side of the flange, and I am assuming there is one on the other side or the engine as well. Do you think these are the only ones that are leaking?

As I remember the previous discussions, there is just one on each side. But it could be more than one... Anyone know?

Regards,
