Default What's the 1/4 mile record for LT5 cars?

What the top of the heap? ET and MPH, for any mod level of LT5.

Not sure, but I seem to remember one that was down in the 8's. Highly modified, of course.

There's this one, but I'm not so sure that's an LT5 in there. http://s717.photobucket.com/albums/ww178/zr1promod/

I took some video of this car running low 8's at Beech Bend several years ago. If you've seen the Monster Garage episode, where Jesse James turns a '74 Vette into a 4 wheel drive mud-bogger, my video was shown in the opening segments of the show.

This article mentions 8.5s @ 160mph but the evenness of the numbers seems to be ballparking it?

If you want to qualify it by being "streetable" it would probably be one of the Lingenfelter twin turbo guys - only 4 of them around - I think 9.50s @ 145ish. Further qualifying by "streetable" and naturally aspirated, I think it's still SW's old 415 at 10.40 @ 135.

The streetability wasn't a concern. I was just looking for the fastest/quickest 1/4 mile times ever produced by an LT5.
