Id have the dealer that quoted that price order one and have them order it and if its the correct one Id buy it if not its there part because the computer is wrong.
I ran a search for 19179581 on gmpartsdirect.com. It shows up as "module". I don't need one but this is strange.

Bill did mention something about part number having been changed when he looked up IM for LT5. Then he came up with 19179581 after cross referencing.

Strange...

Default bad news

I guess the place the dealer was going to get the part cant come through now and is out of stock
The part number they were going to get was 10467063

Any idea where I can get a used one or something reasonable?

After searching for that, that comes up with the ignition housing not the module.
They must of gave wrong part number
it seems the actual module is 1103841

I had to replace mine about 9 months ago. I did a search on ebay and found one. Mine was new and somewhere in the $900 range.

You can always go to Kurt - $944.

You might talk to Bill at P&G Chevrolet in detail. Make sure it's returnable if it's a wrong part. He will take a pic and e-mail to you with parts in stock. In this case, where he has to bring it in, I am not sure.

It may be worthwhile to talk to Bill, give him the part number and see if it cross references to the new number he came up with.

Also states all of their parts are made by the original supplier to GM. That's worth something I woud think.

If it's not the problem, I doubt they would take it back & don't really blame them.

I am glad someone is still making them (right? not NOS).
You can try the part and if it's not a fix, can always put it on the bay for $50 less. That would be my way of dealing with it.

Not trying to hijck your post, but if you're looking, I've got this one, plus another one with a 110377 PN.
These removed from '90 ZR-1s being turned into race cars.

What is my liability if the dealer installs the wrong part, or the part they install does not fix the issue?
Two option, pay more money or pay the bill and take a broken car home.
