Its possible, Yep it would be an uber rare preproduction that did come out in 89. The first clues would be the old Atari style dash and a signature LT5 motor in the bay. Ask for pics before you go any further. It might be rough so BJ was not an option for the seller. Or he may have not wanted to pay a hefty premium.

Looking at Craigslist he has it listed as 7K. Anythings possible but I doubt it. It worth more than 7K in ANY condition all day.

"Craigslist" is yiddish for "Sea of BS"..... I doubt this ad is legit. I guess maybe if its a box of bolts, but even then 7K is a good price.

LT5 & ZR1 on the SPI. Make sure you check the VIN first. if it is a true 89 ZR-1 then it will look like this :1G1YZ21J_K58000XX. I seriously doubt it is an 89 production ZR1 there is only one in Carfax that is registered and that is #14 and we know what one that is. Two possibilities, another prototype or a 90 that the guy thinks is an 89 since the fed door sticker could have a 89 date on it.

From the ad...

its a very rare ZR1 and is 1\80 and has 72k
needs minor electric work...runs and looks great...original 19inch corvette rims...
serious callers only email or call at 1(714)631-4297

I kinda doubt this guy knows what he's talking about. And with 72K miles? Somehow I also doubt an '89 ZR-1 was driving around without anyone noticing it.
