The groundwork for this article was laid in 2005, but after multiple staff changes at Vette, I suppose it was interest in the C6 ZR1 that finally led to the publication.
Really nice article Sanjay. You have one nice ride bro.
How many miles do you have on that 415?
Thanks Joel. I bought the car with 10,000 miles on it in 2002, in pristine original condition, right down to the Gatorbacks. Now it has another 5k on it since the conversion....which is not nearly enough!
Does anybody know how many seconds need the LPE 415 to pass the mile?
Sam
They didn't time us when I took the Z out there in 2004...but I won the street class that year....capping off a 1-2-3 finish with two other LPE stroker ZR-1's!
is the profiel on both front and rear 30? or is the front 35?
so 275/30 or 275/35 for front
and 335/30 for rear?
I am looking for tires for my 18x10 and 18x12 wheels
Thanks!!
275/35 front and 335/30 rears....no rubbing after I raised the car about 1/4" from its original slammed position on the Coilovers.
Thanks everyone. I really don't drive it as much as I used to, but it's still just as exciting now as it was 7 years ago. I'd also like to add that although the article didn't mention it, it was Corey at Henderson Performance in New Braunfels, TX that did all the work on the car. Wouldn't trust my ZR-1 with anyone else!
found the articles very interestng. the DRM color is my favorite (if it was a 95 ted would be ALL about that car!)
the biggest thing is the old LPE 415 defended honor quite well
faster mph and quicker et that the new ZR1
not bad for a lil old LT5
don't need no steeenkin blower, just 415 of LPE power
nice car doc, glad to see it get some air time
the LPE 415s are just amazing and your car performs with the best of them!
Thanks, Ron! And though the article listed the hp at 610, ostensibly off of LPE's website....mine made 663 at the crank, which I have the original LPE dyno sheets to prove.
I am hoping to pull up next to a C6 ZR1 someday for sure!

you know, with that ET and MPH I thought it might be stronger than listed. very nice running car. 663 is VERY stout and the quarter mile times certainly back that up. greet runs Doc.
