Default WTB 90 AC Programmer

I am lookig for an AC programmer for a 90 Z. My dad's went out and he is having a hard time finding a repalcement since they are specific to a 90 Z. He did hear of someone rebuilding them, but can't find any info about them. The company's name he heard was dayton electronics. Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

My AC programmer was replaced at one point by the dealer with one from a 1990 L98. That is what the GM books recommend. The problem that developed was that the system would do a reset about once a month. This isn't the end of the world but irritated me more than it should have. I talked to Gordon Killebrew and he recommended using a programmer from a 1991 L98 P/N 16140190. He says they added a capacitor to block noise that caused the reset. He says there is a minor difference in the logic compared to a ZR1 programmer but it seems to work fine and I don't get resets.

The programmer cost me $142 from GM Parts Direct plus shipping. The want $50 for a core charge as well so the total was $223.

The AC programers are not Z specific. C4 Specific Yes but not ZR-1 specific.
