Let us know how it goes. This could be a nice alternative to the more costly option.

are these new or rebuilt. I wonder how the Ford SVO blue 24# work in the Z, I've had luck with them in an L98.

the 24 svo's might be two big for a stock lt5. they flow 24.5 at 43.5psi.
the sets we are offering are rebuilt by us. With over 30 years in the business. All cores are tested, ultrasonially cleaned., and matched by flow. New Viton o-rings and Bosch Filter Baskets. The modifications to fit the LT5 are done for you. 3 year warrantee.

If they fit, they should work. It'll run rich at first but you could drop the VE tables by 16% to rough things in and then fine tune. OR You could adjust the BPW constant. The ony issue is whether the PW gets too small at idle although I doubt its that close stock..

having very little experience with the lt5 i have a few questions. I have built piggyback systems for our race cars etc. Am I right in saying that the primary injectors are the only ones firing at idle to a predetermined point of throttle position. If so, why not use a 24 or 30 in the secondaries. Is the ECU programable to the point that it can isolate the secondary set and treat them as a real second set. In other words, when do they come on? What triggers the secondaries? Is it speed/density?

I can't answer the technical questions. But the secondaries will only turn on at WOT above 3000 RPMs with the power key in the "full power" position.

The ZR is an SD system. The secondary throttles open at a set TPS% along witth some other operating params. You can also set the Secondary Injector Flow rate separate from the primaries along with a secondary injector scalar%. Should be able to utilize other than 21# injectors if they fit as long as you make the corresponding changes to the cal for Inj. constants and VE tables.

I always wondered if ported, the LT5 would take larger injectors in the secondaries with no problems.

so with those parameters, as long as you can add enough air. and if the secondaries are programable, you can leave the primaries alone for drivabilaty and have the secondaries be any size.. I can fit any high impedance injector up to 83lbs. (the biggest made in High z)
who wants to try it? How about dry flow NOS

Scroll about 1/4 of the way down in this link:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...cuum+Diagnosis

And you'll see the '93-'95s secondaries can open with as little as ~10% throttle (above 5500 RPM) or as low as 1500 RPM (at WOT) and the '90-'92s secondaries can open with as little as ~25% throttle (above 3500 RPM) or as low as idle RPM (at WOT).

Using the BSFC calc, the current 21# injectors can support
(21 x 16)/.5 = 672hp. And then you can always bump up the FP if needed. Using larger injectors brings up the issue of a "too small" a pulse width to control at idle. But as you pointed out you could use the stock primaries for idle, then much larger for secondaries but looks like you'd need to be making some real healthy hp before needing anything larger. Depends on how much head room you want for Injector Duty Cycle.

Whie im glad to see another option out there for LT5s Id sure be interested in the long term use results of these. As they are rebuilt are they stainless steel sleeved like the Rcs or Accels? Price point is great but...

this is incorrect. the chart you are using shows 16 injectors in the calc. in piggyback systems you have to still use 8. you are only putting in 42 lbs of fuel in per cyl at static flow. therefore, the max hp supported will be around 450. The stock 4 blt engine i believe is about 425hp. So with the 2 sets of 21's you are almost there....Am I right?

No. I don't think that's correct. There are quite a few 500+hp ZRs running just fine on stock injectors. Not sure what you mean by "piggyback system". The fact is each injector can supply 21# fuel at the FP found on the ZR. That's why there's a secondary Fuel Pump.
One of the ZR gurus can chime in here as well to confirm what I am saying.

These are Bosch injectors. They are designed for (no lie) 1 Billion pulses. Which is equal to 300,000 to 400,000 miles. The injector is Bosch's design III which uses the latest technology in manufacturing. Keep them clean and they will last as long or longer than your engine. We have been selling these for years. When they leave our shop they are as good as new. The accel and RC are very good injectors except most of the Lucas based disc type injectors use a pencil type discharge. this type of spray pattern is not the best for a street car due to the fact that they do not atomize the fuel as well as the delphi or the bosch. Atomization is essential to a proper fuel mix. unburned fuel entering a cylinder in liquid form does not burn. Therefor washing your cylinders and causing havoc to your cats over a period of time.
