Default I found it.......but its 2700 miles away.

I found the ZR-1 Ive looking for but its in Georgia and Im in Ca.How would you guys handle this?I would like somebody to take a look at the car but wouldnt even know where to look.My work schedule wont allow me to jump on a plane.Id hate to see this one get away.Ive been in touch with several NCRS judges but they keep refering me to somebody else.I must have 15 emails floating around. The seller has been great about sending pictures and even made a DVD of the car and sent it out.My first Corvette was a cobbled together piece of trash that was a nightmare and I wont do that again. How do people buy cars in situations like this?

Why don't you PM me the details. I know a lot of ZR-1 guys in GA. They might know the car, the person, or might be able to look at it for you.

Z51Jeff.......I know the car very well, sits about a mile down the road.....
I actually went with Jason to look at the car and bring it home.......I did the initial test drive as well!!

Car is as nice as described...tell you how nice it is.....Jason, didn't have the ***** to tell me he was selling it, cause if he did, I'd tell him what an idiot he is for letting that car go.....like I did the last time he mentioned wanting to sell it.....

You won't be disappointed....it is what it is....a very hardy CONGRADS TO YOU if you do pull the trigger......you got yourself a very nice car!!

Peace!!

I would take Mike P's word on it. He had one of the nicest ZR-1's until it got sold and butchered. If the guy is willing to haul it down to Aarons (I think it was 40-50 miles) you can get another second opinion.

Z51Jeff, with the supporting statements here, sounds like you should pull the trigger and buy it, if you haven't already.

Its in the works,I just hope the owner doesnt get tired of all my questions.Ive heard nothing but positives about the car and owner.I called Aaron and he knows the car as well.Im pretty sure its a done deal. The owner has been very patient at the point. Its time to check out transport companies. Thanks to all for the input.

I'm just down the road from it, I'll volunteer to drive it out and do a few "performance verification" tests on the way. I guarantee the exhaust system and combustion chambers will be completely free of carbon deposits by the end of the trip.

This is an example of my careful Sunday driving to ease your mind:

IF your looking for a recommendation on a transport company, I used a private enclosed carrier to move mine from No. Carolina to No. Calif. I also used the same guy to send the car to Haibecks in Chicago and return to Calif. I highly recommend him for his prices and professionalism.
If you need more info, PM me.

FedEx ships cars now too, but I don't know if you want enclosed or not. I used the one they recommend on eBay

http://www.dasautoshippers.com/

they picked up and dropped off the car in a timely matter..

I used them 2 times until they ripped the passenger side mirror off my 86 Monte Carlo SS & didnt tell me about it. When I got in the car to leave I saw it on the passenger side floor...I was like WTF???

They gave me a check for $900. to repair it & paint it along with new decals......but I wish I would've at least been told up front.
