Default Just looked at tire selection

Well, things are getting even slimmer.

We used to have a selection of 6 matched sets for front and rear for street tires. We are now down to two.

Goodyear F1 GSD3
Vedersteins

The yokohamas are gone as well as the BFG's. There are several tires left in race compounds.

I just got a set of KD's two weeks ago. Probably one of Lowflytes old ones. 19 Lbs of road force.

The site still shows those as available, but I would not be using them or consider them. But yes, add them to the list. It's still slim pickings.

Just put a set of 275s on Wifey's L98 and the pickings were slim there too. Looks like we might have to step up to more common 18" sizes on the ZR-1s. Then you can stuff some bigger brakes in there to boot.

FWIW...I have a rear set of Goodyear GSC's (80% tread )that I'm going to sell.....and will have another rear (almost new-1K miles) set when my new F1's arrive. I hope there will be a market for them.

Why would you not consider them? Tire Rack has 5 other "competition sets" listed as well, although you wouldn't want all of them for everyday driving but you could use 2 of them on the street.

They are fine for touring around, but I've found them to be a bit lacking on the performance side.

I mentioned the race compounds, but the amount of marbles/rocks and other garbage makes them dangerous on the street, and combine that with low tread profile for any inclimate weather. Sketchy.

Time to step up to a 18 inch rim which looks much better imo.

They may be good for just driving around but they are not that great, I actually like the GY GSD3s I think they kick butt.

Anyone ever put 335/35 17's on their rears?
There are a few more choices there if it will work?

335/35 17's will fit. The pilot series comes in that size.
