Wheel question
I have a 1990 ZR1 and am going from original wheels to A-molds.
I have a few questions
Are the Tire pressure warning bands transferable?
If I don't use them on the A-molds will I get a LTPWS light?
Thought I saw an old thread that on a 90 the light won't come on.
Can I use the same lug nuts?
I did try search but came up with nothing (computer illiterate)
Thanks in advance Dave

Yes you can re-use the LTPS bands....
My 94 light comes on (service LTPWS) when a sensor is missing....
BE VERY careful when you take the sensors off. They can be EASILY broken!!!!!!!! I had 2 of mine broken....
Good Luck

Yes they are.
On the later cars, you can not remove them with out setting off a system error. 90 has no issues

If you do decide to use the LPTWS they are location specific by color. Have the tire installer mark the color on the tire with chalk so as not to get them mixed up. That's if you just get the wheels and tires mounted and take home to change yourself. With A molds and non directional tires lf and rf or lr and rr could easily get mixed up.

Thanks for all the replies. I knew I'd get the answers I needed from you ZR1 experts. Looks like I'm changing wheels and leaving the Bands off as there PROBABLY will not be a light. However, now I have another problem thanks to Pennstatefootball. Seems there is a group purchase for GS type black wheels for the Z. Pennstatefootball I will be contacting you as to how to order. Anyone want to buy factory A-molds????? I will take a loss, just paid a grand and will let them go for 800, just purchased and two are still in the boxes. Thanks Pennstatefootball for the info.
